Oliver Tomkins - How we live out our Christian Vision
Oliver Tomkins is a school where every child is nurtured and cherished as an individual, precious in God’s sight. The Christian vision of the school is crystallised in the agreed vision statement, which reads: John 10:10 "I have come that they may have life and have it to the full." This has been re-focused and enhanced in last two years to be driving focus of school improvement through the 3 key aspects of ‘thriving’ ‘aspiration’ and ‘wellness’.
Vision
Our Vision is to develop pupils who have high aspirations for themselves and their futures. Through opportunities to securely develop knowledge and oracy skills, we want to equip pupils to realise their potential and be the best that they can be.
We want our community to thrive by experiencing academic success, and by developing emotionally and physically. We want to open our children’s eyes to the world beyond their own and prepare them for a future where they can flourish.
The Wellness of our pupils is important to us. We look to develop pupils Spirituality and offer opportunities for awe and wonder. While our school is vibrant, we also seek to offer a calm environment where pupils can take refuge and feel ready to learn.
